One of a Kind

The daily prompt millions immediately brought a poem to mind.

Only One Mother

Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky

Hundreds of shells on the shore together

Hundreds of birds that go singing by

Hundreds of bees in the sunny weather

Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn

Hundreds of lambs in the purple clover

Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn

But only one mother the wide world over.

-George Cooper

I know it says hundreds but there are millions of stars in the sky so I guess my memory of the poem wasn’t too foggy.

This poem is not just for the mothers out there.  Not everyone can be a mother.  Not everyone wants to be a mother.  I’d like to take this poem just one step further.  There are millions of people in this world.  There is no one exactly like you.  How will you make your life on this earth mean something?  Do something with your uniqueness! Make it count in the most positive way possible!

Thank you for reading.  Have a great day!
